What do I need to know about blackout fabrics?

We have a wide range of blackout fabrics, with a mix of plains in an array of colours from subtle pastels to strong, bold brights. There are also some grown up designs as well as some lovely prints especially for children. A blackout fabric is coated with a special backing to stop light penetrating through the fabric but there will always be light flare around the edges of a M2M recessed blind unless it is layered with curtains.

Where do Rollers work best?

Roller blinds work perfectly in any room, however to ensure you get the best out of your window dressing, we would place blackout Rollers in bedrooms to make sure you get the best sleep. Rollers also work beautifully in bathrooms too due to their moisture resistant properties.

Are Roller blinds suitable for large windows?

For large windows, Palette and Banlight roller blinds are available in 2, 2.4 and 3 metre widths

What’s the benefit of choosing a motorised Roller blind?

Powered by Somfy’s marketing leading technology, all Roller blinds can be motorised and controlled via remote control, or app and voice command when linked to Somfy’s smart hub.

What are Grip Fit blinds?

The Grip Fit system allows you to install blinds without using a drill. A smart bracket system that extends outward from the recess, fitting the blinds in seconds. They leave no damage to the window recess or walls and are available as motorised or chain operated roller blinds
